Xenorate Media Player Overview
Xenorate Media Player is a highly comfortable multimedia player allowing you to play any kind of media file (DVD, VCD/SVCD, Video/Audio files, Livestreams, ...)
It comes with an integrated audio system, which plays a lot of formats out-of-the-box (MP3, OGG, FLAC, MPC, M4A, AAC, AC3, WAV, ...) For a detailed overview -> See "Features > Audio System".
Xenorate has a powerful video engine that uses directshow for playing video content, including support for internal and external subtitles and multiple audio streams. For a detailed overview -> See "Features > Video System".

Xenorate 2.7 release is out

We are proud to present you the new Xenorate media player 2.7 release.
This release have full support for windows vista and windows 7, including user account control elevation prompt and support for current video and audio renderers.
It is faster and provides a higher stability than any Xenorate version before.

Working on a new release

I am currently working on a new release for "Xenorate Media Player" which brings real
UAC Elevation (User account control) support for the following administrative tasks:
- Filetype registration
- Contextmenu registration
- Set xenorate as default media player registration
Also it includes a lot of important bugfixes which are listed on the page on the tracker portal for 2.6.2 roadmap.

There is a buffer overflow exploit in the parsing code in our playlist loader (XPL) for version 2.6.0.0.
We made a bugfix release (version 2.6.1) for this problem, the release can be found in our "Download" area or can be patched by using "Xenorate LiveUpdate".
